RENEW International Roman Catholic Ministry

RENEW International is a Roman Catholic ministry organization under the guidance of the Newark Archdiocese. Most Reverend John J. Myers, J.C.D., D.D. is the Chairman of the Corporate Board for RENEW. For the last 30 years, RENEW International has been helping over 150 dioceses in the US to promote the growth of Catholic spiritual renewal. They provide programs and materials to help each diocese meet their yearly goals and have also touched the lives of 25 million people in this country and in 23 other countries.

In 2002, Archbishop John J. Myers of Newark presented RENEW International with a Decree of Recognition, recognizing the organization as a "private association of the faithful" under Canon Law of the Roman Catholic Church. RENEW International has always been deeply committed to managing the resources entrusted to them. They are working on a partnership with the National Leadership Roundtable on church Management (NCRLM) to meet its standards for Excellence. As a partner in Excellence, RENEW International joins a group of Catholic institutions all over the country that have committees to a series of ethical criteria and accountability principles. These standards describe how the most-well managed and responsible Catholic nonprofits act in program operations, governance, human resources, and finances.

RENEW International's current faith-sharing materials carry the Nihil Obstat (official censor of the Roman Catholic Church stating that a publication has been examined and contains nothing offensive) of the Archdiocese of Newark Theological Commission and the formal approval of the Newark's Archbishop.
